Further Experiments Involving Jars

Earlier today we did our test pickling experiment using store-bought cucumbers. We tried five different recipes, using ingredients such as: dill, mustard powder, mustard seeds, garlic, peppercorns, whole chili peppers, celery seeds, turmeric, and coriander.

These pickles should be ready in a few weeks, at which point the six varieties of cucumber plants in the garden should start producing fruit, and we can start all over again.

We'll let you know which recipes we like best next month.

Yummy! Are these all cold-pack pickles? I'm looking forward to recipes.
